Robin Li Laing is behind this gorgeous new business and she's certainly handy. Robin lovingly handcrafts and embroiders all her clothing.

Yet her introduction to the business world came about in an unlikely fashion. "I studied Music Production and Music Industry Management and Marketing. Needle work and embroidery was just a hobby, taught by my Grandmother who sadly died a few days before my daughter was born two years ago. I suffered post-natal depression and I was given my Gran's embroidery thread after her death, so I used embroidery and the design creations as art therapy and as a way to be close to her. My designs are inspired mostly by my daughter, Madeleine."

It's a touching story, and Robin's loss has moved her to create some uniquely clever togs. Up close the embroidery is exquisite. We just love the detail on this Christmas Tree tee. It's hand appliquéd and embroidered on organic cotton in Scotland where Clever Togs by Robin Li is based.
