One of my favourite accessories brands, IGNES handbags ('Most Socially Responsible brand' at the Handbag Designer Awards - New York, 2007) has launched a competition in search of the newest design addition to hit the IGNES handbag collection. Founded by brother and sister team - Maria and Ignacio Estrada - Ignes handbag designs are gloriously stylish as well as socially responsible.

The competition is now live and runs until the 5th Jan, giving aspiring designers the opportunity to create a completely unique new IGNES bag in any shape, size or colour desired, with categories also including men's, travel and small leather goods.

Now don't worry about providing highly professional sketches - they have an expert technical designer for this and will work with you if your creative sketch inspires Ignes. Just think, the winner could be you!

The prize will not only see the winner receiving the finished IGNES handbag based on their own personal sketch, but also the full proceeds of the handbag's cost donated to a charity of the winner's choice, upholding IGNES handbags 'most socially responsible brand' status.

Four designs will be short listed by the IGNES team on the closing date – which will then be submitted to all IGNES contacts and clients via mailing lists, newsletters and their website – giving the public the opportunity to make the final vote to decide the winner.
