Join The Pussycat Dolls and Love The Planet

We've been wanting to share Love The Planet since we first trialled their products and since they've launched, Love The Planet has attracted an international clientele, including Kimberly Wyatt from The Pussycat Dolls. Today we tell you why so many of us Love The Planet too!

Kimberly Wyatt's favourite Love The Planet potion is the natural sugar scrub. Kimberly shares "I loved the products! The Sugar Scrub is my absolute favourite! It leaves the skin feeling moisturized and refreshed. Thank you so much...!"

Here at The GIN Lady, we love brands that brew their magic at the kitchen table and that's exactly where Laura McComskie started, the bubbly Scottish lady, who launched Love The Planet back in 2002. Just like many of us at the turn of the Millenium, Laura was frustrated with the quality of natural beauty products, particularly those without a huge price tag.

Love The Planet products are fabulous for your skin as they don't contain any of those unnecessary chemical nasties that we've so grown out of love with - who needs to increase their risk of cancer? Not us! For those of us who regularly use natural products, just using them is evidence enough that they do the job - whether it be cleansing, toning or moisturising.

We're much impressed with Love The Planet's Cleansing Lotion: It combines cocoa butter, jojoba oil, vitamin E and organic aloe vera to gently clean pores to remove make up and other impurities. What we are most impressed with is its ability to remove eye makeup. And now Love The Planet has introduced a new edition with some fancy branding in a bottle made from 100% post consumer waste. And at £6.95, what's not to love?!

Love The Planet first made a hit in the market with their Washable Cleansing Pads - a product we've already raved about in our beauty bazaar. They're so good as it removes the need to put cotton wool on your shopping list as these cleansing beauties help you wash away the grime, and then you simply reuse them over and over again. Laura reached the finals of the British Female Inventor of the Year Awards and Kimberly Wyatt from The Pussycat Dolls raves about them too - nice one.

Love The Planet has really 'grown up' now, with a wide variety of face, hair and body products and we'd love you to try them. At cracking prices, natural beauty never felt this good!

Visit Love The Planet today and enjoy their beautiful products.

Natural Empathy Launches at Selfridges

We've been trialling Natural Empathy for the last few months. The result? We're super impressed. Today we want to share this British-made, natural beauty brand's story. Now on the shelves of Selfridges and selling widely from their online store, we definitely recommend popping in to give them their support or checking them out online. As their brand name suggests, Natural Empathy is in tune with nature and even better, their luxury skincare and haircare products work a treat!

We first met the Natural Empathy team at UK Aware - a mother and daughter duo. Not that we could tell mother and daughter apart by age - surely a big nod to their brand's natural anti-ageing formulas?! Since then, we've been using their products and it's a big thumbs up on every front.

However effective a product, if the smell isn't right it's a big turn off. But with Natural Empathy the smells are divine. This of course is due to the brand's use of fabulously fragrant pure organic essential oils. These are incorporated into their natural beauty products with locally grown and cold pressed pure virgin oils, natural vitamins and clever natural active ingredients jam packed into every bottle. Their ingredients and approach are inspired by the green hills and dramatic skies of Northumberland where Natural Empathy is based.

And let's just point out their bottles. They are all beautifully branded, which we think all adds to the serene experience a beauty brand should give!

But it's not just their ethos, ingredients and packaging we're impressed with. Let's take their body lotions. Just like their moisturisers, they are silky smooth and sink into the skin with ease - we love. But what we love the most is the brand's Britishness. At a time when UK's manufacturing base has lost its greatness, small British brands like Natural Empathy bring back a sense of British pride, not to mention their capacity to boost local economies.

Another element we love is, despite being a new brand, is the diversity of products they offer. From luxury skincare to haircare products, to men's skincare and natural candles to gift sets. Natural Empathy has something for everyone, so all in all, Natural Empathy is a brand to watch. And buy!
